Project 365 in Review
I started my Project 365 last April/May. Funny, I somehow screwed up my numbers. I started in April and ended on May 2. LOL. I knew it was a big undertaking, but I guess I didn’t realize how much of an undertaking it would be. But I perservered. At times it was a big pain in the butt, especially at Christmas. It gets dark at 4:30 in Minnesota in the winter. I work until 4:30. Sometimes it was 10:00 and I’d say to myself “I still need a photo today”. So I would set my sidekick up for a quick photo, or my cat, etc. I even took a picture of a bunch of straws once.
There were no rules, I could take a picture of anything. And did. I took a picture of my shoes once, too. I told myself early on that every photo did not need to be a masterpiece and had to live by that. I have always loved the outdoors and nature, but me getting out there every day brought me to my passion for birds and wildlife, and my local refuge. We spent last spring, summer and fall at the refuge at least once, sometimes twice, a week.
Am I happy I did the Project 365? Yes. I learned so much about my camera, and even purchased an upgrade in August. I think I have progressed splendidly. Am I glad it’s over? Yes. But I do miss it. It’s been a little over a week and I still go places to find something to take photos of over my lunch hour on most days. I feel naked if I don’t have my camera with me. I know I want to do another challenge, just not sure what yet.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Be back soon with some more birding adventures with my sidekick.

A great story, Sheila. I am glad you perservered. It gives you a great feeling, doesn’t it?
You posted many fine pictures along the way, I miss your Project 365, but I also know how difficult it must have been.
Thanks! I am leaning toward a 52 week challenge, themed.
