About Me

I have always been a shutterbug, ever since junior high.  I didn’t realize until later in life that I truly had a hidden talent. I can take a mean photo when the planets and stars are aligned.  When I finished my Project 365 five years ago, I realized then that it was my calling.  My true passion lies in nature, landscapes, birds, still life or inanimate objects.  I could sit for hours watching a Snowy Owl in freezing temps or capturing the beautiful color of fall.  I gradually moved into Portrait Photography and specialize in high school seniors and families.

I am a single mom to a beautiful teenage daughter, and after being laid off from my day job 2 summers ago, I decided to go back to school. I am a full time student, pursuing a degree in web design. I work part time at a charter school and also volunteer with my sidekick’s high school dance activities and at the local wildlife refuge. I am a member of the Elk River Arts Alliance, Elk River Photography Club, Champlin Area Photography Club and the Sandhill Photography Club.

  1. I have just stumbled across your blog, and love it…not sure how I got here, but I ntend to keep coming back. Beautiful photos, I am a red barn fan. I live in Yorkshire and the south of France but have a love of Wisconsin that stems back a quarter of a century. OK, so I know these aren’t Wisconsin barns, but the mid west has a beauty like no other, very best wishes, Janice.

  2. I spotted the name of your website on a comment you left at Lake Superior Spirit and just had to stop by to see what your ‘moments to memories’ were. You really have taken some beautiful photos and I look forward to seeing more. 🙂 Joanne (in Australia).

  3. Thanks for the like of my snowy owl post. I enjoyed your posts about the snowy and the bald eagle. There is an eagle nest nearby and we hope to capture some photos of its use when they return soon.
